What every M-Lab test measures

Single-stream throughput measured under real network conditions — sensitive to congestion and impairment, not just peak capacity.

⏱️ Latency

Round-trip time between your device and the server. Low latency matters for video calls, gaming, and interactive applications.

📦 Packet Loss

The fraction of packets dropped in transit. Even small amounts of loss can severely degrade throughput and real-time traffic.

🗺️ Network Paths

Traceroute measurements capture the route packets take through the internet — one of the world's largest longitudinal routing datasets.
